John Morris

Funeral Service Associate

John was born in Iuka, Mississippi and graduated from Booneville High School in Booneville, Mississippi. He is married to Alma Jean Moore Morris. John graduated from the Pentecostal Bible Institute in Tupelo, Ms in 1960 and is an ordained minister with United Pentecostal Church. He started pastoring in June of 1960 at two churches in Arkansas, one in south Mississippi and one in Tennessee. He also serviced two churches as interim pastor. 

 John and Jean have one son, Gregg Morris from Atlanta, GA. He has 3 grandsons, Dustin, Josh and Adam Morris, all of Dyersburg and 2 great grandchildren, Hannah and John David. John was employed by Curry Funeral Home in June of 1988. During these years he has serviced as Funeral Home Associate, Licensed Funeral Director and now works part time. His wife Jean worked in the Dyersburg City School System, teaching at Dyersburg Middle School. He is now serving as Assistant Pastor at the "Sanctuary" at 2115 St. John Avenue in Dyersburg.
