Virginia Reasons, 92, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, December 31, 2020 at Methodist North Hospital in Memphis. Born February 21, 1928, she is the daughter of the late Chester and Wyrla Nichols. She was a member of Finley United Methodist Church. Virginia was a retired secretary from the Vocational Rehabilitation Office, later enjoyed working in various clothing stores and was an avid card player. She loved her family dearly and treasured her name of “Nana”.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2021 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Tim Alsup with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon until service time at the funeral home.
Keith Perry, Travis Irvin, Steve Escarre, Chris Shelton, Louis Castillo, Matt Escarre and Dave Mailhes will serve at pallbearers.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelly Mailhes (Dave) of Bartlett; two grandchildren, Matt Escarre, Lauren Mailhes; and one great-grandson, Brady Thornton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Reasons; two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Lincoln, Myra Preston; and one brother, Leonard Nichols.
The family requests memorials be directed to Finley United Methodist Church.
