Sheila Jeane York

Sheila Jeane Simpson York, 74, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at her residence.  Born July 14, 1947, she is the daughter of the late Thomas Julian and Ivy Vivian Ragan Simpson.  She was a former employee at Family Dollar and a long-time member of Southside Baptist Church.

Memorial services for Mrs. York will be at 12:00 Noon Friday, May 27, 2022 at Southside Baptist Church officiated by Reverend Loren Stephens.

She is survived by two daughters, Angie York Haynes of Covington, Jodie York Heigle of Granbury, TX; one son, Tommy York of Ramer; one grandchild, Ryan Haynes of Munford; and Don Fisher, long time friend.

She was preceded in death by her husband Travis York; and by her brother, Frankie Simpson.

Family requests memorials be directed to Southside Baptist Church or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
