Sally Gee Fowlkes

Sally Gee Fowlkes, 93, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, November 23, 2023 at Oakwood Community Living Center.  Born January 12, 1930, she is the daughter of the late Robert Ash and Frances Rebecca Hayes Gee.  Mrs. Fowlkes was a retired Deputy Clerk at the Dyer County Clerk’s Office and a life-long member of Dyersburg Cumberland Presbyterian Church. With love and gratitude this Thanksgiving season, we say goodbye to our beautiful mother.  We are thankful for all the days we had with our talented, creative, smart mom who loved us and the Lord beyond measure.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, November 27, 2023       in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Annetta Camp with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends beginning at 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home.

Her grandsons will be serving as pallbearers.

She is survived by four daughters, Ginny Hall (Gene), Anna Cutler (Dale), Mary Hurst (Marty), all of Dyersburg; Sally Ben-Moyal (David) of Houston, TX and one son, John Fowlkes (Janet) of Dyersburg; eleven grandchildren, Robert Hall, Lisa Burkhart, Jarred Fowlkes, Nichole Bertholomey, Rachel White, Lindsey Viser, Billly Lewis, Karen Ben-Moyal, Daniel Ben-Moyal, Jessie Burchfiel, Benjamin Davison; eleven great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 71 years, Daniel R. Fowlkes; her son, Dan H. Fowlkes; and her grandson, Brad Fowlkes.
