Don Dotson

Don Dotson, 75, of Dyersburg, died Monday, July 13, 2020 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.  Born October 26, 1944, he is the son of the late James and Sally Head Dotson.  He attended Volunteer Baptist Church.  Don was owner of Natural Gas Piping.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 16, 2020 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Brother Billy Tucker with interment to follow in Sorrell’s Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 15^th from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.                                   

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Vanice Dotson; one daughter, Angela Davenport (Chris) of Dyersburg; three sons, Donald Dotson (Tammy), Lynn Dotson, Cody Dotson (Mandi), all of Dyersburg; eight grandchildren, Matthew Dotson, Malorie Adcock, Taylor Davenport, Abby Davenport, Brianna Boxx, Tristen Boxx, Anzleigh Dotson, Annistyn Dotson; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Christine Barr of Paris, Pauline Morgan of Mansfield; and one brother Johnny Dotson.

Jimmy DeSpain, Cullen Jones, Richie Gammons, Kevin Fair, Scotty Davis, William Capps and Marty Reagor will serve as pallbearers. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters Imogene Dotson and JoAnne Harber.

The family requests memorials be directed to Volunteer Baptist Church, 1125 Vendall Road, Dyersburg, TN  38024.
