Patty Evelyn Peckenpaugh

Patty Jones Peckenpaugh, 89, of Dyersburg, died Friday, December 4, 2020, at her residence.  Born January 17, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Van Edward and Jewell McDavid Jones.  She served 38 years as bookkeeper for Belew & Ray Drugs, followed by another 11 years as bookkeeper for C&C Pharmacy, before retiring.   Patty was a member of First Baptist Church.  She was known for a lways having a chocolate pie ready whenever someone was sick or in times of death.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 6, 2020, in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Mike Hickman with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Jeff Agee, Jeff Heathcott, Robin Jacobs, Les Smith, Dr. David Guthrie, Jeff Newbill and Joel Deal will serve as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers will be David Greer, Robert McAlister, Gerald Newbill, Dr. Mark Bowers, Dr. Kevin Cook and Dr. Curtis Colbert.

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 5^th from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00p.m. at the funeral home.

She is survived by her son, Kim “Peck” Peckenpaugh (Patsy) of Dyersburg; two grandchildren, Catybeth French (Preston) of Newbern, and Mary Evelyn Ramsey (Skylar) of Covington; and two great-grandchildren, Emma French and River Ramsey.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Norris Peckenpaugh; one sister, Betty Jones Pennington; and one brother, Vernon Jones.

The family requests memorials be directed to First Baptist Church, Dyersburg, Building Fund.
