Nancy C. Hardin

Nancy C. Hardin, 86, died peacefully Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at her residence surrounded by family. Born in Miami, FL on September 27, 1937, she is the daughter of the late Reverend David Junkin and Betty Jeanette Smith Cathcart. Nancy was a devoted mother to her children and family. Some of her greatest joys were spending time with her family, friends, church family, her many beloved students, along with her Hispanic families with whom she shared so many experiences and so much love. Que Dios los bendigan siempre. 

 Celebration of Life will be from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m., Sunday, September 22, 2024, in the Fellowship Hall of Dyersburg First United Methodist Church, where she was a faithful member. A moment of reflection will be at 3:00 p.m. lead by Rev. Dr. Mary Beth Bernheisel, Rev. Dell King and Rev. Robert Craig. 

She is survived by her children, Angel Santana, Ellen Santana (George Russell) and David Santana (Melanie), two grandchildren; Brady Heidenreich and Adonia Garvin (Seth) and four great grandchildren: Logan, Indigo, Journey and Rêverie, and many nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Susan, and husbands, Angel E. Santana and Harold E. Hardin.
