Michael Evans Flowers, 72, of Dyersburg, died Friday, July 29, 2022 at his residence. Born November 17, 1949, he is the son of the late Dick and Josephine Flowers.
Mike was retired as a self-employed painter. He attended UT Martin and also went to Evangel College in Springfield Missouri. Mike was a great baseball player getting the chance to pitch in the Connie Mack All Stars in 1967. Mike had a quick humor and was always there to help anyone he could. He enjoyed fishing, being outside, spending time with family and quoting his favorite bible verses. His family finds comfort in knowing that his Dad and Mom were there to greet him with open arms.
He is survived by his daughter, Sarah Flowers and son, Michael Hale, both of Dyersburg; his sister, Dee Dee Hall of Hornbeak; his brother, Eric Flowers and wife Brenda of Brentwood; and two grandchildren, Kaitlyn Brough and Logan Dykes both of Dyersburg.
A Memorial visitation will be held Friday, August 5, 2022 beginning at 4:00 p.m. until 6:00. Funeral services for Mike will be immediately following the visitation beginning at 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 5, 2022 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Reverend Carl Southerland.
