Lonnie Garland Wood

Lonnie Wood, 92, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, February 23, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.  Born March 11, 1930, he is the son of the late Johnnie M. and Hattie Blackwell Wood. Mr. Wood proudly served his country in the Army National Guard.  He was a member of Second Baptist Church.

Graveside funeral services will be at 1:00 a.m., Monday, February 27, 2023 at Fairview Cemetery officiated Reverend Ronnie Turner.

The family will receive friends Monday, February 27^th beginning at 11:00 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

Honoring his grandfather, Lonnie Wood, III will be serving as pallbearer.

He is survived by his wife, Audrey Wood; his son, James Kent Hickman of Dyersburg; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Lonnie Wood, Jr. and Lowell Wood.
