Lois Baker Boatright, 93, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, July 24, 2019 in Martin. Born July 2, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Hammie Clay and Verner Ellis Baker. She was a member of Parr Avenue Church of Christ and an avid bridge and canasta card player. Mrs. Boatright was retired from General Appliance and Furniture Company as the bookkeeper for 47 years.
Memorial funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 3, 2019 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Scott Owen with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Saturday, August 3rd beginning at 12 noon until service time at the funeral home.
Honorary pallbearers will be Men at Parr Avenue Church of Christ.
She is survived by her two daughters, Mary Beth Sellers (Kim) of Newbern, Amy Gaskins (Sherman) of Sherrills Ford, NC; six grandchildren, Brian Daniels, Leslie Bardo, Sarah Beth Jones, Erica Thetford, Logan Gaskins, Elizabeth Micke; and nine great-grandchildren, Baker Jones, Andrew Gaskins, Linley Bardo, Leah Bardo, Hayden Thetford, Spencer Thetford, Bella Daniels, Deegan Cole and Isabelle Pitts.
Mrs. Boatright was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Franklin “Frank” Boatright; three sisters, Lucille Hilliard, Edith Joslin, Frances Wright; and two brothers, Pete Baker and Billy Baker.
