Lesley "Brown" Nale

Lesley “Brown” Nale, 93, of Dyersburg, died Friday, May 5, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born November 22, 1929, he is the son of the late Raymond and Alice McLean Nale.  He was a member of Springhill Baptist Church where he was a former deacon.  He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and staying active riding his bicycle, but he most enjoyed spending time with his family.

 Funeral services for Mr. Nale will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 9, 2023 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Brother David Brooks with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bryan Nale, Greg Nale, Adam Nale, Tim Nale, Jackie Goad and Hunter Scarbrough.  Honorary pallbearers will be Chris Scarbrough, Johnny Xa, Colt Sanders and Jay Wilkins.

The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

He leaves to cherish his memory, one daughter, Vickie Hayes (Jim) of Trenton; three sons, Sammy Nale (Sarah Ann), Terry Nale (Debbie), Jeff Nale (Darla), all of Dyersburg; one sister, Jane Baker of Miston; two brothers, Albert Nale (Jody), John Nale (Carolyn), both of Miston, eleven grandchildren, Bryan Nale, Kacey Nale Goad, Tim Nale, Joni Nale Sanders, Buffie Frost, Kelly Nale, Stefonie Scarbrough, Mandy Xa, Erica Owenby, Greg Nale, Adam Nale; twelve great-grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter due in October.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ruth Hatley Nale (12/4/2001); his grandson, Dustin Nale, one sister, Margaret Farrow; and three brothers, Walter “Buddy” Nale, Wesley “Blue” Nale and Paul Nale.
