Kenneth Wayne Alley, Sr., 88, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, September 8, 2024, at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg. He was retired, serving many years as the store manager for Electric Motor Service and vice-president for Tri State Armature and Electric Works. Born August 16, 1936, he is the son of the late Kenneth Carmie and Edith Clare McIntyre Alley. Wayne was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2024, at Holy Angels officiated by Father Patrick Hirtz with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors Thursday, September 12th from 5:00p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Ian Alley, Joseph Alley, Andy Madeksho, Patrick Dixon, Wes Evans, Barry Cottrell, Steve Stanionis, and Moe Sims will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Delmer McNeil and Tony VanDyke.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy “Dot” Walden Alley, with whom he shared 69 wonderful years of marriage; his son, Michael “Mike” Keith Alley of Dyersburg; his daughter-in-law, Sarah Alley of Dyersburg; his sister, Shirley Romo (Hank) of Bartlett; his sister-in-law, Betty Alley of Faulkner, MS; eight grandchildren, Andi (Don) Ramer, Michael Alley, Jonathan Alley, Joseph Alley, Ian (Carlin) Alley, Allyson Alley, Ben (Heather) Alley, Abbey (Andy) Madeksho and five great-grandchildren, McKenzie, Lindzey, George, Rory and Jay.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth “Ken” Wayne Alley, Jr.; two brothers Bobby Alley, Don Alley; and his grandson, Kenneth “Nick” Nicholas Alley.
The family requests memorials be directed to Holy Angels Catholic Church or Special Olympics.
