Charlotte “Kay” King, 88, of Marietta, GA, formerly of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Tranquility Hospice. Born July 27, 1934 in Lenox, TN, she is the daughter of the late Gaston and Elva Killett Richardson. She loved children and worked in daycare until she retired at age 83. She enjoyed receiving calls, cards and photos for many years from the children and their family. She was an active member of Olive Springs Baptist Church and enjoyed helping in the Sonshine Class. She loved to work in the yard and being outdoors. She was blessed with many friends that eased her thru this past year.
Graveside funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Fairview Cemetery officiated by Reverend Mike Hickman.
Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery at 12:45 p.m.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Inman of Destin, FL; granddaughter Stephanie Webster (Michael) of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, one sister, Bobbie Gray of Olive Branch, MS, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill King; her daughter, Cindy Inman; her granddaughter, Robin Shaw; seven sisters, Loretta Richardson, Louise "Ease" Reed, Joyce Reed, Billie Hopper, Floy Elva Richardson “Sis” Campbell, Maxine Coleman, Arlene "Toodie" Hampton; and one brother, RP Richardson.
