Johnny Phillip Bobo

Johnny Bobo, 63, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, December 19, 2019 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Born February 4, 1956, he is the son of the late Billy Eugene and Geraldine Moore Bobo. Johnny was an avid fisherman and worked at Heckethorn Manufacturing Company for 44 years. “At the end of the day, people aren’t going to remember you by what you said or did, they will remember how you made them feel ~ and being around him was the best feeling in the world! He is now fishing with the best.”

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 23, 2019 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Ronnie Turner with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday, December 22nd from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Gail Bobo; two daughters, Molly Haislip (Kevin) of Ripley, Hallie Davis of Dyersburg; his sister, Gloria Bobo Chandler (Mike) of Dyersburg; four grandchildren, Blake Bobo, Ray Barcroft, MacKenzie Haislip, Dalton Haislip; and one step-daughter, Patrice Rhodes of Dyersburg.

Danny Baggett, John Byrd, Jeff Greene, Wayde Jackson, Allen Kolwyck, and Lynn Parker will serve as pallbearers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-son, Kevin Rhodes.
