Joe G. Dickey

Joe G. Dickey, 77, of Tiptonville, died Thursday, March 21, 2019 at West Tennessee Healthcare – Dyersburg Hospital.  Born June 8, 1941, he was the son of the late Reuben and Estelle Hamilton Dickey.  He was a retired school teacher and a former U.S. Forest Service Crew Boss.

Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 25, 2019 at Ebenezer Cemetery in Troy.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Sunday, March 24^th at the Ridgely Chapel of Curry Funeral Home.                                    

He is survived by his son, Jon Dickey (Lisa) of Ridgely; two grandchildren, Christina Davin Freeman, Anna Davin; one great-granddaughter, Addison Claire Freeman; one sister, Martha Newsom of Memphis and one brother William R. Dickey of Tiptonville.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Jane Allen.
