Jimmy Lee Burns, 43, of Dyersburg, died Wednesday, May 18, 2022 in Dyersburg. Born May 17, 1979 he was the son of Jerry Burns, Sr. of Dyersburg and the late Carolyn Sue Morris Burns. Mr. Burns worked as a mechanic for Tucker Tire for 17 years.
Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m., Friday, May 27th at Sorrell’s Chapel Cemetery officiated by Brother Chris Criswell.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. Friday at Curry Funeral Home.
In addition to his father, he is survived by three daughters, Brittany Pendleton (William) of Ridgely, Desttany Kunkle (Jay), of Finley, and Brooklyne Lee (Logan) of Dyersburg; one son, Kylan Hammock of Atoka; one sister, Lois Saylors of Newbern; nine brothers, Jerry Burns, Jr;, Tony Rice, James Burns, and Billy Burns, all of Dyersburg, Ronnie Burns, Donald Burns, Jerry Don Burns and Jeff Burns, all of Missouri and Scotty Twitty of Memphis; mother of his daughters , Victoria Burns of Ridgely and mother of his son, Natasha Hammock of Atoka. Other survivors include six grandchildren, Brentley, Ryleigh, Remington, Lydia, Emery and Rylan.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his brother, Marshal Wade Rice.
