Jerry Thomas Vaughn, 82, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Born August 11, 1939, he was the son of the late Harry Thedford Vaughn and Virginia Louise Porch Vaughn. Mr. Vaughn proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a Baptist. Although Jerry was retired from different occupations over a very long, wonderful life, his most cherished positions were as husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He loved his sweeties and buddies both little and big. He loved to go fishing and in later life, he loved to paint. He cherished every get-to-gather, drop by, phone call, or text. To know Jerry was to know someone who loved his family with every breath. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 8, 2021 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Brother Nathe Ozment with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery. Stephen Stephenson, Hunter Newsome, Michael Birmingham, Tim Vaughn, Jeff Coker, Paul Thompson, Brannon Stephenson and Austin Massey will honor Mr. Vaughn by serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 8th beginning at 12 Noon until service time at the funeral home.
