James "Dooner" Wilson

James “Dooner” Wilson, 69, of Finley, died Sunday, September 13, 2020 at his residence. Born April 10, 1951, he is the son of the late James “Dick” and Geraldine  Wilson. He was retired from Colonial Rubber and Bekaert Steel.  Dooner was a member of Finley Baptist Church.

Celebration of Life services will be at 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at Finley Baptist Church conducted by Brother Charlie Halliburton.  Private interment will be held at a later date.

Jerry Bell, Don Baker, Eddie Hicks, Lee Blackburn and Thomas Boals will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends beginning at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday until service time at the church.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Wilson; three daughters, Melissa Wilson of Dyersburg, Casie Wilson of Tampa FL, Kristin Chapman (Zac) of Murrells Inlet, SC; one son, Jamie Wilson (Alicia) of Dyersburg, nine grandchildren, Weston Petty, Huntyre Brooke Lindley, Evan Lemons,  Gracee Lindley, Trent Wilson, Chloe Wilson, Katlynn Chapman, Lydia Wilson and Ren Chapman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jody Keith Wilson, his sister, Nina Jo Golladay and his brother, Billy Wilson.

The family requests memorials be directed to the Children’s Department at Finley Baptist Church, 9 Magnolia Street, Finley, TN  38030.
