James "Bo" Robert Hobbs

James Robert “Bo” Hobbs, age 71 of Springville, TN, died Saturday, April 29, 2023, at the Henry County Medical Center.

He was born February 12, 1952 in Dyersburg, TN and he was a self-made, successful businessman who sold industrial equipment. He farmed for many years in Dyersburg, TN.

He later moved to Paris, TN, where he continued selling equipment and then manufactured truck dump systems, landfill tippers and container tilters, that were sold all over the world. He cherished his cows, his border collie, Letty and enjoyed life. Bo was quick to tell a joke for adult ears only. There’s no doubt that Bo will make heaven shine a little brighter. Rest in peace Bo, we love you.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jim & Estelle Hobbs, his maternal grandparents Martin and Mattie Winters Mallard, his paternal grandparents Berry and Bessie M Hobbs. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Moore “Patti” Hobbs of Springville, TN, her two children Jessica and Jacob Chapman of Springfield, Mo; one son, James Curtis “J.C.” (Christie) Hobbs of Paris, TN; one daughter, Kathy (Jason) Lineberry of Rena Lara MS; one sister, Teresa Windle of Dyersburg, TN; eight grandchildren, Max Logan (Carly) Hobbs, Grace Ann Hobbs, Loucas Berry (Hannah) Hobbs, Sayra Kay Lineberry, and Dwight Lineberry, Kady Lineberry, Paisley Chapman, Annessa Chapman, Ty Chapman; and one great grandson, Luke-Henry Hobbs.

Arrangements are being handled in Paris by Ridgeway Funeral Home, 201 Dunlap St, Paris, TN. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 3, 2023, from 4 - 7 pm at Ridgeway Funeral Home.

Arrangements are being handled in Dyersburg by Curry Funeral Home. Visitation will continue Thursday May 4, 2023, at Curry Funeral Home in Dyersburg, TN from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm.

The graveside service and burial will be held at Rehoboth Church Cemetery at 1:00 pm on Thursday May 4, 2023, in Newbern, TN with Rev. Jerry Powell officiating.

Serving as pallbearers will be David Copeland, Thomas McNeely, Larry Pruitt, Bubba Burks, Nick Linton, Steve Frampton, Dennis Bush, Jimmy Nichols, Travis Ramsey, and Dwight “Brother” Lineberry
