J. W. Stegall

J.W. Stegall, 91, of Ridgely, died Thursday, May 11, 2023 at AHC Dyersburg.  Born December 13, 1931, he is the son of the late William H. and Lucy M. Hall Stegall.  He was a farmer. Mr. Stegall proudly served his country in the United States Army.  

Graveside funeral services for Mr. Stegall will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely officiated by Pastor Shawn White.  

He leaves to cherish his memory, his son-in-law, Kevin Whitter of Tiptonville; two sisters, Judy Newcomb of West Virginia, Glenda Bell (Joe) of Jackson; one brother, O.V. Stegall of Jackson; his step-grandson, Caleb Jared Whitter (Taylor) of Albany, OR; and his nephew, Jimmy Stegall along with a host of loving nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife of 53 years, Rachella Stegall; his daughter, Lucinda Whitter; and two brothers, Willard Stegall and William “Junebug” Stegall.
