Irene M. Leighton

Irene M. Leighton, 92, of Dyersburg, formerly of Orland Park, IL died Friday, February 21, 2020 at her daughter’s residence.  Born August 11, 1927 in Chicago, IL, she is the daughter of the late Gerald and Mary Kopacek. She was a homemaker.  Mrs. Leighton was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church in Dyersburg and St. Michaels Catholic Church in Orland Park, IL.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 24, 2020 at Holy Angels Catholic Church officiated by Reverend Patrick Hirtz.  Interment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL.

The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 a.m. until service time, Monday, February 24^th at the church.                                  

She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Richard H. Leighton; three daughters, Marianne Ripper (John) of Indian Trail, NC, Pat Eudaley of Dyersburg, Janet Andorf (Gary) of Homer Glen, IL; one son, Rick Leighton of Newbern; four grandchildren, Greg Eudaley, Jessica Bustamonte, Kyle Leighton, Lisa Leighton and three great-grandchildren, Barnes Eudaley, Mariana Bustamonte and John Bustamonte.
