Hershel Simpson

Hershel Simpson, 81, of Dyersburg, died July 31, 2019 at West Tennessee Healthcare – Dyersburg Hospital. Born March 20, 1938, he was the son of the late Bud and Rebbie Hill Simpson. He was a retired sheet metal worker.

He is survived by three daughters, Martha Nelson of Dyersburg, Joanne Henry of Dresden , Kay Dean (Norman) of Dresden; four sons, Timothy Simpson (B.J.) of Texarkana, TX, Michael Simpson (Pat) of Newbern, Hershell Simpson, Jr., James Simpson, both of Dyersburg; one sister, Carolyn McDonald (Art) of Finley; two brothers, Bill Simpson of Covington, Benny Simpson of South Carolina; many grandchildren including Amy Ford (Kent), Shelly Walker (Justin), Richie Cox (Alanna Hendrix); and great-grandchildren including Lauren Rose, John-Michael Ward and Haley and Chloe Walker.

Mr. Simpson was preceded in death by one daughter, Laura Simpson; six sisters, Lola Mae Simpson, Mary Hutson, Christine Simpson, Linda Simpson, Glenda Patterson and Martha McCanless.
