George Wallace

George E Wallace went to his heavenly home on Friday December 30, 2022. He was born September 3, 1929 to George and Effie Wallace.  George was raised by a special uncle and aunt, Bud & Nina Marchbanks.

George was a devout Christian and a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2023 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Brother Jim Tom Pilcher with interment to follow is Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday beginning at 12 Noon until service time at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Marie Wallace.  They have 4 children:

Reba Crowder (Talmadge) of Nankipoo, Amanda Walker and Janet Wallace, both of Dyersburg and Barry Wallace (Kay) of Ennis, Montana.

He was known as Pawpaw to 6 grandkids, 11 great grandkids and 5 great great grandkids.

He was proceeded in death by a grandson – Clint Wallace.

Serving as pallbearers are his grandsons and great grandsons, Michael Walker, Scott Crowder, Ross Pilcher, Brock Pilcher, Hayden Walker, & Taylor Edmonds.
