Franklin D. "Bub" Dean

Franklin D. “Bub” Dean, 74, of Tiptonville, died Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at Wesley Homes in Tiptonville. Born October 17, 1944, he was the son of the late Claude and Lille May Watson Dean.  He was a retired farmer and member of the Baptist church.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 30, 2019 in the Ridgely Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Clayton Mahan with interment to follow in Crockett Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 29^th from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.                            

He is survived by five sons, Vincent R. Dean, Jackie Dean, Franklin “Dina” Dean, Jr., Jody Dean, all of Washington, Jason Dean, Newbern; three sisters, Tommie S. Wyrick, Audie B. Ivy, both of Ridgely, Claudia B. Mullins of Tiptonville; and several grandchildren.    

William J. Morris, II, Brody C. Morris, Tony Lee Ivy, Jr., Charles W. Boane, IV, Christopher Boane, Tony Ivy, Sr. and Paul J. Morris will serve as pallbearers.  

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Rachel L. Stout and his brother, William Woodrow “Woody” Dean.
