Elsie Mae Turner

Elsie M. Turner, 95, of Ridgely, died Monday, February 3, 2020 at Signature Health Care in Ridgely. Born January 27, 1925, she is the daughter of the late Andrew Blufford and Dolly Mae Curtis Jones. She was retired. Mrs. Turner attended Willingham Memorial Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Willingham Memorial Baptist Church officiated by Reverend Ronnie Turner with interment to follow in New Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 5, 2020 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Curry Funeral Home in Ridgely. The family will also receive friends beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at the church prior to the service.

She is survived by two daughters, Linda Johnson and Jackie Sue Hayes, both of Ridgely; five grandchildren, Jamie McCain, Kimberly Goodgine, Michelle Smith, John Turner, Emily Lanier; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

John McCain, Patrick McCain, Doug Robertson, Ray Goodgine, David Smith, Devin Oreman will serve as pallbearers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Waldo Turner; her son Billy Ray Turner; her granddaughter, Angie Stewart; two sisters, Jean Willis, Lorene Carroll; and two brothers, Leroy Jones and Ernest Jones.
