David Weaver

David Weaver, 80, of Dyersburg, died Saturday, September 19, 2020 at AHC Dyersburg. Born May 13, 1940, he is the son of the late R.B. “Thomas” and Wilma Weaver. He was retired from Burks Beverage and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ.  David was an avid fisherman.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2020 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Reverend Ronnie Turner with interment to follow in Rehoboth Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday beginning at 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Phillips Weaver; three daughters Knobi Lynn Weaver of Mettarie, LA, Stacey Blackley and Jennifer Pope (Billy), both of Dyersburg; one son, Lynn Parker (Melanie) of Dyersburg; one sister, Millie Murphy of Dyersburg; three grandchildren, Valerie Hendrix, Shelby Robertson (Cordale), Craig Parker; and two great-grandchildren, Raelynn and Brantley Robertson.  

David “Red” Robertson, Cordale Robertson, Stephen Craig, Allen Weldon, Hunter Fortner and Ronnie Weaver will serve as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers will be William Babe Parker and Craig Parker.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Charles David Weaver; his grandson, John Hickman; two sisters, Mildred Sherrod, Annie Dodd; and four brothers, Raymond Weaver, Billy Weaver, Milton Weaver and Robert Weaver.
