David Lee Stewart

David Lee Stewart of Ridgely, 57, died Saturday, July 27, 2024, at his residence after a lengthy illness. Born March 6, 1967, he is the son of Estelle Tippit and the late R.C. Stewart. David proudly served his country in the United States Navy, serving during Desert Storm. He was a submarine sonar technician.  

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 2, 2024, in the Ridgely Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Brother Chris McDonough with interment to follow in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely. 

The family will receive visitors Friday beginning at 11:00 a.m. until service time at the Ridgely Chapel. 

Farron Stewart, Christopher Stewart, Heath Whitney, Ralph Whitney, Chad McDonough and Tony Lawrence will serve as pallbearers. 

He is survived by his mother, Estelle Tippit of Ridgely; his daughter, Kylie Stewart Yoshimoto of Hawaii: one sister, Cathy Lynn Couch (Charles) of Ruston, LA; one brother, James Leslie Stewart of Dyersburg; and many aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins whom he adored. 

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Vicki Jean Stewart and his brothers, William Paul Stewart and Stephen Stewart.
