Dave Damon, 68, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, September 22, 2019 at West Tennessee Healthcare – Dyersburg. Born January 8, 1951, he is the son of the late Bill and Betty Damon of Marysville, CA. He was a retired computer draftsman/CAD operator and attended Dyersburg First Baptist Church. Mr. Damon proudly served his country as a U.S. Navy Seabee during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and was an avid hobbyist.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, October 2nd beginning at 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at the First Baptist Church officiated by Reverend Mike Hickman. Private interment will be at Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie Damon; two daughters, Kristin Brumbaugh (Marc) of Dyersburg, Kelli Schmidt (John) of Fernley, NV; one son, Scott Damon (Katie) of Sparks, NV; seven grandchildren, Taylor Inscore, Chris Brumbaugh, Mary Inscore, Henry Inscore, Hunter Brumbaugh, Kenneth Damon, Candence Damon and one great-grandchild, Amaliya Payne.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Damon.
The family requests memorials be directed to the American Heart Association, PO Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
