Dannie Burton Jonas

January 16, 1950 — July 20, 2022

Dannie Burton Jonas, 72, of Obion, passed into the arms of His Lord and Savior on July 20, 2022 at Signature Health Care at Ridgely. Born January 16, 1950, he was the son of the late Arthur “Bob” Daniel Jonas and Mary Louise Franks Jonas. His grandparents the late William D. and Willie Ann Burton Jonas of Ridgely and Francis M. Franks and Lettie L. Franks of the Bogota Community. He was a lifetime member of the Cunningham United Methodist Church and Sunday School Teacher. Dannie was much loved by the members of his church and community. Celebration of Life services will be Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Ridgely Chapel of Curry Funeral Home. Dannie graduated from Trevecca University. He spent his professional career as a Physician’s Assistant in North Carolina. He is survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family members and friends who he considered family. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Bobby Franklin Jonas, Jere Lynn Jonas, and Gerald Dewayne Jonas; and four sisters: Martha Rachel Jonas Bell, Reba Verlene Jonas Upton, Imogene Jonas Beeler and Dollie Nawasa Jonas.
