Carolyn Jane Ray

Carolyn Jane Ray, 79, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Dyersburg Health and Rehabilitation.   Born May 2, 1944, in Halls, she is the daughter of the late Octavian and Mary Alline Wyrick Tredo. She retired from Colonial Rubber.  Carolyn was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Halls.                       

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 29, 2024 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Pastor Ricky DeSpain with interment to follow in South Fork Cemetery in Halls.  

The family will receive visitors Monday, April 29^th beginning at 10:30 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Scott Smith, Braden Smith, Brian Jackson, Ronnie Robertson, Kerry Hill and Roger Jackson, Jr. will serve as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Thedford and Jeff Hamm.

She is survived by her husband, Danny Ray; her son, Christopher Bates of Dyersburg; one sister, May Turnbow (Robert) of Dyersburg and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Annie Faye Jackson and one brother, Ewell Robertson.
