Bobby Joe Hooper

Bobby J. Hooper, 81, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, June 9, 2022 at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg.  He is the son of the late L.J. and Betty Mae Carter Hooper.  He was a retired Correctional Officer for the State of Tennessee and a member of Volunteer Baptist Church.

Graveside funeral services will be Sunday, June 12, 2022  at 1:00 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery officiated by Brother Billy Tucker and Brother James Combs.           

John Walton, Brandon Mc Ginniss, Sammy Williams, Chad Williams and Jeff Beaver will be serving as pallbearers

Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery at service time.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine Hooper; son Bobby J. Hooper, II (Pam Melton) of Dyersburg; step-daughter, Robbie Fletcher of Cookeville; step-son Dean Eller (Rachel) of Sparta; three step-grandchildren, Ashley Walton (John), Brian Mc Ginniss, Brandon Mc Ginniss; and four step great-grandchildren, Daisha Mc Ginniss, Ellie Mc Ginniss, A.J. Allen and Griffin Walton.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Lois Hooper; and his daughter, Leigh Ann Hooper.
