Amanda Walker

Amanda Walker, 71, of Dyersburg, died Sunday, April 21, 2024 at Oakwood Community Living Center.   Born September 20, 1952, she is the daughter of Marie Wallace and the late George Wallace.  She retired from City of Dyersburg as Public Works administrative assistant.                      

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, 2024 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Brother Jim Tom Pilcher with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.  

The family will receive visitors beginning at 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Ross Pilcher, Brock Pilcher, Hayden Walker, Cedric Dunn, C.J. Russell, Jimmy Lyons and Grayson Fowler will serve as pallbearers.

She is survived by her daughter, Heather Pilcher (Jim Tom) of Caruthersville, MO; her son, Michael Walker (Tori) of Yorkville; grandchildren, two sisters, Reba Crowder (Talmadge) of Nankipoo, Janet Wallace of Dyersburg; and her brother, Barry Wallace (Kay) of Ennis, Montana; eight grandchildren, Ross Pilcher (Kayla), Brock Pilcher (Brittany), Emily Russell (C.J.), Hayden Walker, Briley Walker, Cedric Dunn (Brittany), Madyson Barrett (Matt), Grayson Fowler; and five great-grandchildren and expecting #6 in July. 

The family requests memorials be directed to Temple Baptist Church, 1200 Truman Blvd., Caruthersville, MO 63830.
