Alma Irene Cook

Alma Irene Cook, 92, of Dyersburg, died Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at AHC Dyersburg.  Born August 16, 1931, she is the daughter of the late Edgar and Mirl Carson.   She was retired from Sylvania and a member of West Dyersburg Church of Christ

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2023  in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home officiated by Brother Jim Chamblee  with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 28^th beginning at 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Simon Cook, Paul Cook, Willie Cook, Justice Cook, Liam Pate, Reed Hulen and Jeremiah Reed will be serving as pallbearers.

She is survived by her two sons, David Cook (Loretta) of Springfield, MO, Louis Cook (Ann) of Dyersburg; four grandchildren, Simon Cook (Christy), Paul Cook (Michelle), Willie Cook (Tina), Jessie Cook; eight great-grandchildren, Justice Cook, Reed Hulen, Lily Cook, Memphis Cook, Liam Pate, Olivia Cook, Eleanor Cook, Paulette Cook; one step-great-grandchild Tori Marshall(Justin) and two great-great-grandchildren, Zion Marshall and Eden Marshall and her sister, Dixie Fox.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Arthur Cole “Coley” Cook; and her siblings George Carson, Clifford Carson, Archie Carson, Robert Carson, Sue Cook, Wilma Medina, and Ruby Price.

The family requests memorials be directed to West Dyersburg Church of Christ or St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
