Charlotte A. Smith

Charlotte Ann Smith, 65, of Dyersburg, died Monday, July 21, 2008 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. She was a homemaker and a charter member of Second Baptist Church. Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Curry Funeral Home with the Rev. Billy Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Church Grove Cemetery in Newbern. The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Survivors include her husband, Ralph Smith; three sons, Mike Millner, Mark Millner and Martin Millner, all of Dyersburg; a sister, Dorothy Wickstrom of Duluth, Minn.; three brothers, Loyd Bateman, Harold Bateman and Wayne Bateman, all of Dyersburg; three grandchildren and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Vernon Clayton Millner, and her parents, Vennie and Julia Bateman. Pallbearers will be Mark Millner, Martin Millner, Mike Millner, Dylan Riley, Danny Fowlkes and Michael William Sipes. Honorary pallbearer will be Michael Smith. The family requests that any memorials be directed to Community Cancer Fund, P.O. Box 1002, Dyersburg, TN 38025-1002.
