Cathy Mae Bartlett Abernathy

Cathy Mae Bartlett Abernathy, 46, of Red Banks, Miss., formerly of Ridgely, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009 at her residence. She was a homemaker and attended Byhalia Assembly of God Church. Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Ridgely Chapel of Curry Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Layman officiating. Burial will be in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely. The family will receive visitors from 5-8 p.m. today at the Ridgely chapel. Survivors include her husband, Marvin Abernathy of Red Banks, Miss.; a daughter, Jennifer Ruth Swearingen of Dyersburg; a son, Joshua Keith Stewart of Henning; a sister, Jacqueline Bartlett of Henning; six brothers, Mark Bartlett of Searcy, Ark., Kenny Bartlett of Walls, Miss., Gary Bartlett of Mt. Home, Ark., David Bartlett of Covington, Tim Bartlett of Parma, Mo., and Johnathan Bartlett of Hornbeak; five grandchildren; two cousins, Kay Cavness and Roger Dale Bartlett; and her best friend and caregiver, Eva F. Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Hassel and Peggy Sue Glozier Bartlett. Pallbearers will be Gary Bartlett, David Bartlett, Tim Bartlett, Johnathan Bartlett, Mark Bartlett and Roger Dale Bartlett.
