Virginia Hestella Summitt

Virginia Bizzle Summitt, 82, of Dyersburg, died Monday, March 30, 2009 at Dyersburg Manor Nursing Center. She was a homemaker, a member of The Church of Jesus Christ, 601 Christie St. in Dyersburg, a retired employee of Hancock Fabrics, Big Star, and Pic Pac Food Star, and an avid seamstress. Services were Thursday at Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Ennis officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg. Survivors include a daughter, Kathy S. Ennis and husband, Jimmy, of Dyersburg; a sister, Mary Gilliland of Memphis; two grandchildren, Jim Ennis and wife, Michelle, and Jenny Marie Ennis Stafford and husband, Troy Lee; and four great-grandchildren, Joanna Ennis, Lincoln Ennis, Jordyn Marie Stafford and Thomas Darren Stafford. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Summitt; her parents, Lawrence and Oder Bizzle; a sister, Lucille Huffine; and a brother, Ossie Bizzle. Pallbearers will be Pastor William Norman, Joe Baker, Brett Jones, Troy Lee Stafford, Terry Burns and Scott Allen. Honorary pallbearers will be Roger Hawkins, Bishop Harvey Moore, Bobby Reed, Carmon Stover, Flossie Hawkins, Bishop Erby Reed and Jerry Smith
