Jack L. Troy Sr., 74, a native of Dyersburg, died at his home in Marble Hill, Missouri on April 9, 2009. Mr. Troy was an engineer with Forcum-Lannom for a number of years. He was also president of Troy Inc., as well as holding several prominent positions with companies in Missouri, including JTroy Construction until retirement. He was a past Deacon and Sunday school teacher where he was a member of First Baptist Church in Dyersburg. He was also active in the Dyersburg Jaycees and a member of the Dyersburg Bass Club. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He is survived by his wife, Jeannie Wells Troy, of Marble Hill, MO, a daughter, Kathy E. Glaze and husband Eddie of Lynnhaven, FL, two sons Jack L. Troy Jr. and William "Bill" Troy and wife Susan all of Dyersburg, a brother Terry A. Troy of Boone, NC, five grandchildren, Jarred S. Fowlkes of Union City, TN, Sara K. Norton of Dallas, TX, L. Casey Troy, William Harris Troy II and John E. Troy all of Dyersburg, and a great-grandson, Skyler L. Fowlkes of Finley, TN He was preceded in death by his parents William Harris and Kathryn S. Troy, his grandparents Walter A. and Mattie B. Troy and Chester W. and Minnie Hendren. A memorial visitation will be Wednesday, April 15th at Curry Funeral Home from 4-7 PM. Services will be private.
