Bobby G. "Brother Bobby" Ozment, Sr., 76, of Dyersburg died Saturday, June 13, 2009 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. He was a member and retired minister of the Beech Grove Baptist Church in the Viar Community, a Veteran of the Korean War, a diesel mechanic and an avid golfer. Funeral services for Mr. Ozment will be at 1 pm, Monday, June 15, 2009 in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Brother Joe Wright with interment to follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 pm Sunday, June 14, 2009 at Curry Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Terry Pledge, Mike Price, Charlie Vaughn, Clyde Thompson, Bill Woodley, Dewey Shawver, Ray Booker & Zach Ozment. Honorary pallbearers will be the Deacons at the Beech Grove Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Carol Ozment of Dyersburg, a daughter, Cheryl Ayn Patterson and husband Randy of Dyersburg, two sons, Bobby Ozment, Jr. and wife Tammy of Friendship and Keith Ozment and wife Nadalye of Newbern, twelve grandchildren, Kim Ozment, Carol Leigh Holman, Keli Ozment, Carrie Broussard, Katie Ebner, John Ozment, Emily Dozier, Zachary Ozment, Cheyenne Ozment, John Nolen, Cody Nolen, and Victoria Nolen and one great-grandchild, Jameson Reed Ozment. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Martha Stem, and three brothers, J. D. Ozment, Watson Ozment, and Cress Ozment.
