Mr. Joseph Alec Stewart, Sr. , 69, of Waverly, TN died Wednesday, June 24th at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. Mr. Stewart was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. Services will be at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 27th in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Wade McCarthy. Visitation will be Friday evening from 5:00 ? 8:00 pm at Curry Funeral Home. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Stewart is survived by 2 daughters, Terri Cloinger & Jeff, Dyersburg, TN and Mary Woodall and Kevin, Dyersburg, TN; 2 sons, Gary Stewart, Dyersburg, TN & Joe Stewart, Waverly, TN; 4 sisters, Ann Gehring, Janie Crane, Dee Brown, Diane Legler; 3 Brothers, Jerry Kelly, Dan Stewart, Sam Stewart; Best Friends, Eddie Glascock Bob Tennyson; 14 Grandchildren, Steven Nusbaum, Beth Kent, Erik & Jessica Hayes, Christopher Hayes, Brittani Horton, Gregory Horton II, Courtney Cloinger, Gary Lee Stewart, Jr.,Caitlin Cloinger, Korbyn Stewart, Cecil Harvey, Crystal & Brittany Slavick; 1 Great-granddaughter, Jennalee Hayes; Former wives, Karen Stewart and Polly Stewart. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest Watson and Mary Lou Matthews Stewart, 1 Sister, Pat Thurston and 1 brother, Earnest Stewart.
