William Lloyd Johnson

William L. "Bill" Johnson, 89, of Murfreesboro, formerly of Dyersburg, died Monday, June 29, 2009 at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Murfreesboro. Funeral services for Mr. Johnson will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2009 in the chapel of Curry Funeral Home. Visitation will be from noon-1 p.m. Thursday, July 2, 2009 at Curry Funeral Home. Mr. Johnson was a member and served as an elder of the First Christian Church of Dyersburg; a World II Army veteran; and, past president of the Dyersburg Kiwanis Club. He also had served on the Board of Trustees of Mid-South Christian College. He is survived by his wife, Louise Johnson; a daughter, Nancy J. Williams and husband, Dennis, of Germantown; a son, John W. Johnson and wife, Kathy, of Murfreesboro; and two granddaughters, Lauren Person and husband, David, of Murfreesboro and Nikki Johnson of Murfreesboro. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E.A. Johnson; a sister, Mary Johnson; and two brothers, Leon Johnson and Ausley Johnson.
