Robbie Jean Rice

Robbie Jean Rice, 75, of Dyersburg, died Friday, July 31, 2009 at the Pemiscot County Hospital in Hayti, Mo. Born at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Mrs. Rice moved to Dyer County in 1959 where, in addition to performing her homemaking duties, she was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Dyersburg, a volunteer at Parkview Hospital, and a Cub Scout den mother. Graveside services for Mrs. Rice were held Saturday, Aug. 1, 2009 at Fairview Cemetery with the Reverend Perry Grills officiating. She is survived by her daughter, Laurie Caudill and her son, Ernest "Quad" Rice, IV and wife Tammy Tucker Rice all of Dyersburg. She is also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Se was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Rice, III; her parents Ruby Scruggs Reynolds and Jimmy Reynolds; and a daughter, Karen Rice.
