Elvis Smith

Elvis Smith, 83, of Dyersburg, died Thursday, August 13, 2009 at Highlands of Dyersburg Health and Rehabilitation Center. He was born in Dyer County on May 3, 1926 and lived here until he and his family moved to Chicago, IL. While in Chicago, he was employed by several factories as a laborer. He served a tour of duty in the United States Army. Graveside services for Mr. Smith will be at 10:00 AM Monday, August 17, 2009 at Fairview Cemetery with Brother Bobby Gamble officiating. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Elvis Smith was cared for by the staff of Highlands of Dyersburg Health and Rehabilitation until his death.
