Mrs. Artie B. Griffin, 77, of Elgin, IL formerly of Samburg, TN died Monday, August 31, 2009 at her residence. Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2009 at Samburg Pentecostal Church with Sister Rose Huey officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery, Hornbeak, TN. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday, September 3, 2009 at the Ridgely Chapel of Curry Funeral Home and beginning Friday, September 4, 2009 at 12 Noon until service time at Samburg Pentecostal Church. Survivors include 3 Daughters, Linda (John) Buchanan of DeKalb, IL, Susie ( Donald) Taillon, Big Sandy, TN, Lois (Owen) Buchanan, Elgin, IL and 1 Son, Edward Griffin and his finance' Levy, Chicago, IL, 8 Grandchildren and 10 Great-granchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Wright Griffin, her parents Elmer and Ellen (Breakfield) Hoffman, 3 sisters and 3 brothers.
