Ruth J. Gladden

Mrs. Ruth J. Gladden, 87, of Dyersburg, Tennessee died Saturday, November 7, 2009 at the Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Gladden was a Baptist and a homemaker. Graveside Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 10, 2009 in Sorrell's Chapel Cemetery, Dyersburg, Tennessee with the Reverend Calvin Smith officiating. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation for Mrs. Gladden was held Monday, November 9th at Curry Funeral Home. She is survived by three sons: Jimmy L. Gladden & James "Noot" Gladden both of Dyersburg, TN and Curtis Gladden of Newbern, TN; 10 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd Gladden; two sons, Billy Joe Gladden and Wayne Thomas Gladden; her parents, Joe & Minnie French Dycus; and a granddaughter, Tina M. Gladden. Pallbearers will be Bobby Ables, Dwayne Anderson, Bryan Anderson, Stanley Robertson, Stanley Ward and James "Bubba" Hedgepath. Honorary pallbearers will be Curtis "L.C." Gladden, Jr. and J. R. Hale.
