Mrs. Janie Bowen Deere, 83, Finley, TN died Tuesday, August 03, 2010 at Dyersburg Regional Medical Center. She was a homemaker and a lifelong member of Finley United Methodist Church. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 5, 2010 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Reverend Ralph Gunter officiating. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The Deere family will receive visitors Wednesday, August 4th from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Survivors include 2 daughters, Iris Harrington and husband Bob and Barbara Deere both of Dyersburg and 2 sons, Tony Deere of Dyersburg and Tim Deere and wife Cindy of Signal Mountain, TN, 5 grandchildren, Chad Davis and wife Jennifer, John Thomas Deere, Wesley Deere, Michael Deere, Travis Deere and 1 great-grandson, Ches Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Deere and her parents Thomas L. and Odell Holt Bowen. Pallbearers will be Chad Davis, John Thomas Deere, Wesley Deere, Michael Deere, Travis Deere, Dusty Pritchett and Heath Pritchett. The family requests that memorials be directed to Finley United Methodist Church or McIvers Grant Public Library.
