Elmore English O'Banion, Sr.

Mr. Elmore English O'Banion, Sr, 83, of Dyersburg, TN, died Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at Dyersburg Manor. He was a novelty salesman and a Methodist. Services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, August 21, 2010 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Gardner officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. The O'Banion family will receive visitors Saturday morning from 9:00 am until service time. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Lillie Mae Frizzell O'Banion, 5 daughters, Teresa Glass and husband Ronnie of Dyersburg, Sharon Eason of Jackson, TN, Denise Barrett and husband Frank of Laurel, MS, Deedra Hendry and husband Robby of SoSo, MS, Tina Ward of Clearwater, FL and 1 son, Elmore English O'Banion, Jr. and wife Barbara of Collierville, TN, 1 sister, LaVonne Napier of Kentucky, 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 1 grandson, Zachery Scott Ward ,1 sister, Elaine Hines, 1 brother Howard Loy O'Banion and his parents Howard and Laura Loy O'Banion. Pallbearers will be Brad Hendry, Matt Hendry, Jeremy Hendry, Jeff Barrett, Greg Barrett, John Buxton Gulley, Robby Hendry and Ronnie Glass.
