Mary Edna Callahan

Mrs. Mary Edna Holmes Callahan, 83, of Jackson, TN formerly of Dyersburg, TN died Thursday, September 16, 2010 at Maplewood Heath Care Center in Jackson. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Dyersburg, TN, an independent grocer and an assistant in the Dyer County School System for 25 years. Graveside services will be at 1:00 pm Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Fairview Cemetery in Dyersburg officiated by Reverend Mike Hickman. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include a daughter, Beth Callahan Marbury and husband Tom of Jackson, TN, two sons, Dr. Joseph Anthony Callahan II and wife Suzanne of Palo Alto, CA and Thomas David Callahan of Jackson, TN, a sister, Maurine Holmes McKibben of Boulder, CO, two brothers Dr. David Holmes of Jackson, MS and Dan Holmes of Mesquite, NV and 6 grandchildren, Natalie Marbury of Nashville, TN, Amy Marbury of Asheville, NC, Alex Marbury of Murfreesboro, TN, Stephanie Callahan of San Francisco, CA, and Johnathan and Chase Callahan of Palo Alto, CA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Joe Callahan, 1 brother Jason Hunter Holmes, 1 sister, Dorothy Holmes Boyles and her parents Jason Hunter and Myrtle Booker Holmes of the Oakfield community.
