Edgar A. Scott

Mr. Edgar A. Scott, 71, of Dyersburg, TN died Saturday, September 18, 2010 at his residence. He was an Army National Guard veteran and a member of the Church of God. Services will be at 1:00 pm Tuesday, September 21, 2010 in the Chapel of Curry Funeral Home with Brother Tommy Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in Sorrell's Chapel Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The Scott family will receive visitors Monday September 20, 2010 from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife of 40 years Cynthia A. Scott of Dyersburg, 4 daughters, Donna M. Scott (Billy Pierce), Debra C. Tharpe, Anita M. McAlister (Mike) and Ashley M. Deason (Daniel) and 1 son, Bobby W. Scott, all of Dyersburg, 1 sister, Sarah R. Scott of Lewisburg, TN and 3 brothers, Lloyd Scott, Jerry L. Scott both of Dyersburg and Larry D. Scott of Ridgely, 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd Edgar and Irene Scott. Pallbearers will be Charles Horne, Joshua Horne, Brandon Tharpe, Blake McAlister, Scott McAlister and Justin Scott. Honorary pallbearers will be Daniel Deason and Cody Thomas.
