Mr. Charles "Pogo" Stafford, 53, died Wednesday morning, December 22, 2010 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ (Hamer Road), a fisherman and employed with Colonial Rubber for 25 years. Services will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, December 26, 2010 at The Church of Jesus Christ (Hamer Road) with Pastor Jerry Stafford and Brother Mike Autry officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The Stafford family will receive visitors beginning at 10:00 am until service time Sunday at the church in the sanctuary. Survivors include 2 daughters, Tabatha Stafford Welch and husband Kelly and Kelly Stafford Hall and husband Curtis both of Dyersburg, his father George "Jack" Stafford of Lenox, 1 sister Norma Bolin and husband Rick of Dyersburg, 2 brothers Jackie Stafford, Jerry Stafford and wife Kerri both of Lenox, 5 grandchildren, Jordan and Jeffrey Welch, Kalee Baggett, Victoria Shanklin, Spencer Shanklin and 6 nieces and nephews, Keaton Stafford, Shelby Stafford, Devin Bolin, Breana (BJ) Bolin, Jaclyn Stafford and Mary-Jean Stafford. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Betty Joyce Autry Stafford and 1 brother Terry Lynn Stafford. Pallbearers will be Rick Bolin, Gary Permenter, Rance Permenter, Kenny Sykes, Marty Sykes and Richard Bradford.
