Mrs. Carrie Hurst Miller, 101, of Tiptonville, TN died Sunday, January 30, 2011 at Reelfoot Manor in Tiptonville. She was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church in Tiptonville for 69 years. The family will host a visitation beginning at 11 a.m. on Wednesday February 02, 2011 at First United Methodist Church in Tiptonville, with services immediately following at 1 p.m. at the church in Tiptonville, with Pastor Marita Burkeen officiating. Interment will follow in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely. Curry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include four grandchildren Ron Miller and Joe Miller of Streetsboro, Ohio; Bonnie Miller and Donnie Miller of Ohio; local nieces, Melba Edge of Memphis, Mabel Walton of Tiptonville, Ruby Stanfill of Ridgely, Helen Drewry of Hickman, Ky, and Mary Lou Curlin of Fulton, Ky.; and local n ephews, Waddell McBride of Obion and James Hurst of Troy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe V. Miller; her parents, W. J. and Debby Smith Hurst; two sons, Charles William Miller and Tom Miller; one sister, Ruby McBride; and three brothers, Alvin Hurst, Leonard Hurst, and Arliss Hurst. Pallbearers will be Dustin Simmons, Jerry Simmons, Todd Rogers, Glenn Rogers, Cliff Rogers, Keith Hulme, Tommy Lovell, and Terry Jamison. Honorary pallbearers will be Ernie Pierce and Albert Markham.
